Harbec Plastics is a precision plastics manufacturer in Ontario, NY. After commissioning a 720kW cogeneration plant, management decided to pursue the next step in their effort to reduce carbon footprint. The result is a 250kW Fuhrlander Wind Turbine which operates in parallel with the utility.

Energy Concepts conducted site review and prepared the electrical design documents. These included a one-line drawing for the facility depicting modifications, additions and interconnection points necessary to integrate the wind turbine's output into the facility's electrical distribution system. They also included the plans, details, control diagrams, and protective relay selections and settings. Energy Concepts obtained interconnection approval from the Rochester Gas & Electric Corp.
